Bank of Ghana Governor donates medical supplies to Peki Government Hospital on birthday
The Governor of the Bank of Ghana, Dr Johnson Pandit Kwesi Asiama, has marked his birthday by donating a variety of medical supplies to the Peki Government Hospital.
The contribution is intended to bolster healthcare delivery and enhance the wellbeing of residents within the hospital’s catchment area.
At a ceremony held at the facility, Dr. Divine Vulley presented the items on behalf of the Governor. He noted that the gesture was born out of Dr. Asiama’s desire to give back to society while reflecting on his personal blessings.
Dr Vulley emphasised that healthcare is a vital pillar of national development and that leadership should extend beyond administration to include compassion and service.
He further praised the dedication of the hospital’s doctors, nurses, and staff, while calling on other corporate entities and individuals to support healthcare institutions to build a healthier nation.
The Medical Superintendent of Peki Government Hospital, Mr Daniel Okyere Koranteng, received the donation and expressed deep gratitude to the Governor.
He highlighted the hospital's role as a critical healthcare provider for the immediate area and four to five neighboring districts.
