Popular Black Stars supporter Kailani ‘Powder Man’ Ibrahim Kpa has appeared before Accra Circuit Court 9 over an alleged $32,000 visa fraud case.

Kpa appeared in court on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, a day after his arrest in connection with the allegations.

He is also expected to face a separate $50,000 visa fraud case, bringing the total amount he is alleged to have defrauded victims of to more than $80,000.

Kpa was arrested on Tuesday, August 25, by officers of the Ghana Police Service’s Documentation and Visa Fraud Unit at East Legon in Accra.

He is alleged to have collected thousands of dollars from individuals with promises of securing travel arrangements for them to Canada, Nicaragua and the United States, but allegedly failed to deliver and subsequently went into hiding.

Kpa, popularly known as ‘Powder Man’, recently gained international attention after videos of him blowing white powder while supporting Ghana during matches at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States of America, Canada, and Mexico went viral.

His newfound prominence was followed by various claims and financial disputes relating to overseas travel arrangements.
