Croatia announce squad for 2026 FIFA World Cup ahead of Ghana clash

Croatia have officially announced their squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they are set to face Ghana in Group L of the tournament.

The competition, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, will feature an expanded format involving 48 countries.

Ghana secured one of Africa’s nine automatic qualification slots and has been drawn in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.

The Black Stars will open their campaign against Panama before facing England and Croatia in their remaining group matches.

As preparations continue ahead of the tournament, Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has named a 26-man squad for the competition.

Croatia become the first team in Group L to officially announce their squad for the tournament.

Veteran midfielder Luka Modrić headlines the squad, which also includes Ivan Perišić, Andrej Kramarić, Ante Budimir, Marco Pašalić, Mario Pašalić and Manchester City defender Joško Gvardiol.

Ghana, England and Panama are expected to announce their squads in the coming days ahead of the start of the tournament.
