Ghana drawn against Côte d’Ivoire, Gambia and Somalia in AFCON 2027 qualifiers in Group C
The draw for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2027 qualifiers has placed Ghana in Group C alongside reigning African football powerhouse Côte d’Ivoire, The Gambia, and Somalia.
The group presents a challenging pathway for the Black Stars, with Côte d’Ivoire expected to pose the strongest test given their recent dominance in African football competitions.
Ghana will also face competitive opposition from The Gambia, a side that has grown in confidence in recent years following strong continental performances.
Somalia completes the group and will be aiming to make an impact as they continue to develop their football structure on the international stage.
The qualification campaign is expected to be keenly contested as all four nations battle for a place in the 2027 AFCON tournament.
Ghana will be looking to leverage its experience and talent pool to secure qualification, while also navigating one of the more competitive groups in the preliminary stage.
