Ghana faces Zambia in CAF African Schools Championship semi-finals
Defending champions Ghana are set to clash with Zambia in the semi-finals of the 2026 CAF African Schools Football Championship. The high-stakes match is scheduled for Thursday, April 9, with the winner earning a place in the final on April 10.
Ghana advanced to the knockout stage despite a 1-0 loss to Burkina Faso in their final Group B match on Tuesday at Gateway High School.
The Black Damsels had built a strong foundation earlier in the tournament, beating Guinea 6-0 on the opening day and edging Tanzania 2-1.
These results secured their progression despite the narrow defeat to Burkina Faso.
Zambia enters the semi-finals after a strong performance in Group A, which featured hosts Zimbabwe, Morocco, and DR Congo.
Both teams are competing not only for the continental title but also for the $300,000 prize, designated for school development projects.
