Julius Debrah leads Independence Day unity run at UG Stadium
The Chief of Staff at the Presidency, Julius Debrah, is set to headline a special Independence Day run aimed at promoting unity, strength, and patriotism among Ghanaians.
The event, themed “As we run together in unity, strength and patriotism,” will bring together citizens from all walks of life to celebrate Ghana’s independence in a healthy and symbolic way.
Participants will cover a distance between 5 and 10 kilometers, demonstrating endurance and collective spirit in honour of the nation.
The run is scheduled to take place at the iconic University of Ghana Sports Stadium, with activities beginning promptly at 6 AM.
Organisers say the initiative is designed not only to mark Independence Day but also to encourage fitness, social cohesion, and national pride.
With Julius Debrah leading the charge, the event is expected to attract hundreds of participants, all united by one purpose — celebrating Ghana through movement and togetherness.
As the sun rises over Accra, the message will be clear: Ghana moves forward best when her people run and stand together.
