Ghana showcases tourism potential at WTM Africa 2026
Ghana is strengthening its position in Africa’s tourism landscape with a strong presence at WTM Africa 2026 in Cape Town.
At the event, Ghana is highlighting its commitment to boosting intra-African travel, expanding business tourism, and positioning itself as a leading destination for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE).
The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA), Gilbert Aggrey, said the country’s participation reflects a strategic effort to deepen regional connections, attract investment, and promote Ghana’s diverse cultural and tourism offerings to a global audience.
According to him, the engagement is also expected to open new opportunities for partnerships within the African tourism sector, as countries increasingly collaborate to grow the continent’s travel industry.
He noted that Ghana’s focus on business tourism and MICE experiences is aimed at diversifying its tourism portfolio and enhancing its competitiveness on the international stage.
