Ashanti Regional Minister engages vulnerable groups on welfare
The Frank Amoakohene has met with persons with disabilities, orphans and widows to discuss their welfare and inclusion in development efforts.
The event, dubbed “A Day with Orphans, Physically Challenged, and Widows,” brought participants together to share concerns and interact with the minister.
Activities included informal engagement, as the minister dined and interacted with attendees.
Some participants, particularly persons with disabilities, raised concerns about their living conditions.
One participant, Deborah Adjei, urged state officials to take steps that promote acceptance of persons with disabilities, noting that they often face social rejection.
In his remarks, Dr Amoakohene reaffirmed government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable groups, stating that their welfare remains a priority.
