Asiedu Nketia maintains lead in NDC flagbearer race but gap drops – Global InfoAnalytics
A new survey by Global InfoAnalytics points to a tightening contest among likely contenders for the National Democratic Congress flagbearer position ahead of the 2028 elections.
The poll, released by the firm’s Executive Director, Mussa Dankwah, on Monday, April 13, 2026, shows that Asiedu Nketia still leads in the party’s “top-of-the-mind” preference survey.
However, his margin has reduced within a week, dropping from a 16-point lead in the first round to 10 points in the latest results, indicating growing competition.

In the second round of polling, Asiedu Nketia secured 29 percent support, followed by Ato Forson with 19 percent, while Haruna Iddrisu polled 11 percent. Julius Debrah and Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang each recorded 8 percent.
The poll also shows that 24 percent of respondents are yet to decide, suggesting the race remains open.
In the earlier survey, Asiedu Nketia led with 28 percent, while a larger portion of respondents—36 percent—were undecided.

The findings indicate that although he remains in front, the gap is closing as interest in the race builds and uncertainty remains over who will officially contest.
