Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings empowers 30 constituents with cash, distributes sewing machine, hair dryers and chest freezer
The Member of Parliament for Korle Klottey, Dr. Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, has donated business equipment and cash support to constituents as part of her Korle Klottey MP’s Grand Business Donation Initiative.
The support package included 200 hair dryers, 200 sewing machines, as well as financial assistance of GH₵2,000 each to 30 beneficiaries, aimed at boosting small-scale enterprises and supporting skills development within the constituency.
Speaking at a community presentation held at Osu Presby, Dr Agyeman-Rawlings explained that the initiative is not new, noting that similar support has been provided quietly to individuals across the constituency for over a decade. However, she said the decision to organise the donation in bulk is to increase awareness and ensure more constituents are able to access the available support.

According to her, the public presentation also helps address the misconception that such support is not widely accessible, while offering an opportunity to educate constituents on how to apply for assistance.
She added that the initiative is designed to bridge the gap between skills training and employment, particularly for individuals who have acquired vocational skills but lack the equipment to start their own businesses.

Dr Agyeman-Rawlings noted that while some beneficiaries are already engaged in small-scale businesses such as food vending and provision shops, others are trainees who require tools to begin work.
She further indicated that beyond providing financial aid, the initiative seeks to empower beneficiaries to become self-reliant and avoid going into debt to establish their businesses, while also fostering closer engagement between her office and constituents.
