Elder Frank Kwabena Donkor: Aviation tragedy claims 2 sons of Hebron Prayer Camp leader
Elder Frank Kwabena Donkor, founder and leader of the Hebron Prayer Camp in Nsawam in Ghana’s Eastern Region, has lost his two sons following the helicopter crash that shocked the nation on Monday, March 16, 2026.
The victims have been identified as Captain Frank Donkor, 36, and his younger brother, Elisha Donkor, 26. The crash occurred at Oninku Park, Site 18, Tema Community One, where the aircraft went down and burst into flames, underscoring the severity of the impact.
Captain Donkor, a highly experienced aviator with approximately 15 years in the field, held both Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) and Certified Flight Instructor Instrument (CFII) qualifications. He was widely regarded as a skilled and respected professional within Ghana’s aviation industry.
His death is particularly poignant, coming just three months after his marriage.
The two-seater aircraft, with registration number 9G-ADV, had departed from Ho en route to Accra, with an expected arrival time of 3:20 PM.
According to the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the last radio contact was recorded at 2:18 p.m.
Elder Donkor, known to his followers simply as “Elder Frank,” previously separated from the Church of Pentecost to establish his own ministry. The Church formally distanced itself from him in a statement issued in 2020.
