Engineers & Planners announces employment for Damang host communities
Engineers & Planners Limited operators of Damang Gold Mine Limited (DGML), has announced a host community employment drive aimed at recruiting skilled operators for various heavy-duty equipment roles.
The vacancies, targeted at qualified individuals within the mine’s host communities, include eight positions for excavator operators (Liebherr R 9350), 16 for dozer operators (Caterpillar D10T), nine for grader operators and five for loader operators (Caterpillar 992K).
According to the company, applicants must possess at least an SSSCE or Technical/Vocational certification, demonstrate the ability to operate the specified equipment and have a minimum of three years’ relevant experience.
Candidates are also required to hold a valid Class “E” driving licence and must not be above 53 years.
Interested persons are required to seek nomination through their community leadership, including chiefs, Assembly Members and youth leaders.
Completed nomination forms, duly endorsed by community authorities, were to be submitted to the Community Relations Department of Damang Gold Mine Limited by April 29, 2026.
The recruitment process includes a practical test scheduled for April 30, 2026, at 7:00 a.m.
Management emphasised that neither DGML nor its partners charge any fees for job applications, urging applicants to be cautious of fraudulent practices.
The initiative on the part of Engineers and Planners forms part of efforts to promote local employment and strengthen community participation in mining-related activities within the Damang area.
