GAFCONM cuts sod for 4-storey lecture block
The Ghana Armed Forces College of Nursing and Midwifery (GAFCONM) has held a sod-cutting ceremony for the construction of a four-storey ultra-modern lecture block.
The ceremony took place on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, marking the official commencement of the project, which is aimed at expanding academic infrastructure at the institution.
The new facility is expected to enhance teaching and learning by providing improved lecture spaces and modern educational resources for students pursuing nursing and midwifery programmes.
Officials indicated that the project forms part of broader efforts to strengthen healthcare training within the Ghana Armed Forces and support the development of skilled health professionals.
The construction of the lecture block is also anticipated to improve capacity at the college and contribute to the overall advancement of healthcare education in the country.
