GA/R:Cable fault at Lartebiokorshie triggers Accra power outage
The Electricity Company of Ghana’s Accra West Region said a cable fault at Lartebiokorshie in the Greater Accra Region cut power to several suburbs on Friday, March 27, 2026.
Lartebiokorshie, Mamprobi, Bamboi, Camara, parts of Chorkor and nearby communities were affected.
In a public notice, ECG said engineers were dispatched to isolate and repair the fault and restore supply “as soon as practicable.”
The company apologised to customers for the disruption, noting that supply would be normalised once repairs are completed.
The outage sparked complaints from residents and small businesses in the affected areas, who reported interruptions to trading, refrigeration, and household activities.
ECG did not give a specific restoration time but urged affected customers to remain patient while work continues.
