Gomoa Eco Park: A-Plus leads AKA Energy Systems delegation to brief President Mahama on 270MW solar project

Gomoa Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A-Plus, has led a delegation from AKA Energy Systems to meet with President John Dramani Mahama to formally announce preparations for a 270MW solar energy project.

In a Facebook post accompanied by a photo, A-Plus said the delegation, headed by the company's CEO, briefed the president on plans to power the Gomoa Special Economic Zone, described as a major manufacturing, industrial and commercial hub; as well as the Gomoa Eco Park.

"Earlier today, I led a delegation from AKA Energy Systems, headed by its CEO, to meet with H.E. the President to formally inform him that preparations have begun towards the construction of a 270 MW solar energy project to power the Gomoa Special Economic Zone, a major manufacturing, industrial and commercial hub, as well as the Gomoa Eco Park," he wrote.

He added the project will be developed in phases, with an assurance given to the President that the first phase will be completed by the end of 2027.

"The project will be developed in phases, and we assured H.E. the President that Phase One will be completed by the end of 2027," he said.
