Interior Minister inaugurates utility vehicles for Ghana National Fire Service
The Ghana National Fire Service has received a major operational boost following the ianuguration of a fleet of utility vehicles by the Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, at the Service’s National Headquarters in Accra.
The inauguration forms part of ongoing efforts by the government to improve mobility, strengthen emergency response operations, and enhance service delivery by the Fire Service across the country.
The newly inaugurated vehicles are expected to support officers in carrying out administrative duties, fire safety inspections, rescue missions, and rapid emergency response operations.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Interior Minister reaffirmed government’s commitment to equipping the Ghana National Fire Service with the necessary logistics and resources needed to improve efficiency and public safety.
He noted that strengthening the operational capacity of the Service remains essential in ensuring timely response to fire outbreaks and other emergencies nationwide.
Officials of the Ghana National Fire Service welcomed the intervention and expressed optimism that the additional vehicles would significantly improve operational effectiveness and service delivery across various regions and districts.
