The Member of Parliament (MP) for Krowor Constituency and Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection, Dr Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, has called on Muslim youth to continue living in peace and unity during and after the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the minister, it is often observed that Muslim youth demonstrate discipline and peaceful conduct throughout the Ramadan period but sometimes abandon those values once the fasting season ends. She therefore encouraged them to sustain the spirit of peace, tolerance, and unity even after Ramadan so that the blessings associated with the sacred period will remain with them.

Dr Lartey made the call when she donated assorted food items to the Muslim community in the Krowor Constituency as part of efforts to support the faithful during the Ramadan fasting period.

She emphasized that Ramadan is not only a time for fasting and prayer but also an opportunity for self-reflection, compassion, and strengthening communal bonds.

The Minister further urged residents of the constituency, including non-Muslims, to promote unity and peaceful coexistence, stressing that national development can only be achieved when people live together in harmony regardless of their religious or cultural differences.

Dr Lartey reiterated her commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting social cohesion within the constituency, noting that acts of kindness and solidarity during Ramadan help strengthen the spirit of togetherness among residents.

Members of the Muslim community who received the donation expressed gratitude to the Member of Parliament for her continued support and concern for their welfare during the holy month.
