Family of late Daddy Lumba removes Abusuapanin Tupac from position
The family of the late Ghanaian highlife legend Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, has reportedly removed Abusuapanin Tupac from his role as the head of the family.
According to reports circulating on social media, senior women in the family led the move to strip him of his authority after what they described as a long period of dissatisfaction with his leadership.
In a video that has since gone viral, a traditional leader present at the gathering explained that the decision was taken after a series of family meetings.
He noted that members of the family unanimously agreed that it was time to relieve Tupac of his responsibilities as Abusuapanin.
The chief stated that the previous family head had demonstrated exemplary leadership and served as a model for others, but the same standard, according to the family, had not been maintained by the current office holder.
Several close relatives of the late musician were reportedly present during the meeting, including Mama China and Wofa Yaw Poku.
After the announcement was made, members of the family were seen celebrating the decision.
