NIA announces temporary recruitment for nationwide children’s registration exercise
The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced a nationwide temporary recruitment drive to support an upcoming mass registration exercise targeting children aged between 6 and 14 years.
The exercise forms part of efforts to capture the data of eligible children onto Ghana’s National Identity Register and strengthen the country’s identification system.
Available rolesAccording to the Authority, the recruitment will cover several operational roles, including Technical Support Officers (Technicians), Commissioners for Oath (CFOs), Card Verification Officers (CVOs), Mobile Registration Workstation Operators (MRWOs), and Registration Officers (ROs).
All positions are contract-based and intended solely to support the nationwide registration exercise.
Application processInterested applicants have been directed to submit their applications through the official NIA recruitment portal.
The Authority urged applicants to carefully review the requirements for each role and complete the application process within the stipulated timeframe.
The deadline for submission of applications is March 22, 2026.
Warning against fraudThe NIA emphasised that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and cautioned the public against dealing with fraudsters or unauthorised agents.
Applicants have also been advised to ensure that they upload clear photographs during the application process for verification purposes.
The Authority reiterated its commitment to a transparent recruitment process as it prepares to roll out the nationwide registration of children.
