C/R: Odikro of Abura Dunkwa commends MP Felix Kwakye Ofosu for delivering on campaign promises
The Odikro of Abura Dunkwa in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese District, Nana Obrempong Owusu Koko II, has commended the area’s Member of Parliament, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, for fulfilling key promises made during the 2024 election campaign.
According to the chief, the MP, who also serves as Government Spokesman, has initiated significant development projects across the district, particularly in road infrastructure. He noted that previously deplorable inner roads in Abura Dunkwa are now under construction, providing relief to residents.
Nana Owusu Koko II expressed satisfaction with the pace of development under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama, attributing progress in the district to collaboration between the central government and local authorities.

Speaking during the Abura Dunkwa Odumkwaa Festival, the chief praised the MP for what he described as exemplary leadership and for promoting the image of the district. He called on residents to maintain peace and support ongoing development efforts.
The chief also expressed confidence in the ability of the MP and the District Chief Executive, Daniel Mensah Wardy, to complete remaining projects, including the construction of a new market. He appealed for additional social amenities to further enhance development and urged the youth to prioritise education and avoid negative behaviour. Parents were also advised to take active responsibility for their children’s welfare.
In response, Mr Kwakye Ofosu thanked the chiefs and elders for their recognition and support. He reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all campaign promises before the end of his term.
He disclosed that contractors are currently working on several roads within the constituency, including those in Abura Dunkwa.
He further indicated that plans are underway for the construction of a 24-hour economy market in the town, expected to be the largest in the district, with sod-cutting to take place soon.
Additionally, the MP announced that modern medical equipment will be supplied to the Abura Dunkwa District Hospital, while buses will be provided to senior high schools as part of ongoing government education initiatives.
Mr Kwakye Ofosu urged residents to maintain confidence in the government and support its development agenda, assuring them that all outlined projects would be delivered.
