PSC confirms Godwin Tameklo as substantive CEO of NPA
The Public Service Commission(PSC) has confirmed the appointment of Godwin Tameklo as the substantive Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority.
The confirmation officially cements Mr. Tameklo’s leadership of the petroleum sector regulator following approval by the Commission.
His appointment is expected to strengthen the Authority’s efforts in regulating Ghana’s downstream petroleum industry, ensuring compliance within the sector, and supporting government’s broader energy and economic objectives.
Industry observers say Mr. Tameklo has held the fort in Acting position for the past one year.
His role in the petroleum sector continues to draw admiration from industry players in Ghana’s petroleum economy.
The NPA remains responsible for overseeing activities in the downstream petroleum sector, including pricing, licensing, monitoring and consumer protection.
The PSC has congratulated the CEO for his confirmation.
