President Mahama returns from Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi

President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana after participating in the Africa Forward Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.

The summit was co-hosted by Kenyan President William Ruto and French President Emmanuel Macron and brought together African and global leaders to discuss key development issues affecting the continent.

During the summit, President Mahama took part in high-level discussions on energy and green transitions, focusing on strategies to promote sustainable development and climate resilience across Africa.

He also participated in a strategic working session on African financial institutions and co-chaired a dialogue on transforming healthcare systems on the continent.

The discussions explored innovative approaches to improving healthcare delivery and strengthening health systems to better respond to future challenges.

On the sidelines of the summit, President Mahama held bilateral engagements with several international and regional leaders, including Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, Kristalina Georgieva, and Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres.

The President also engaged with officials of the African Continental Free Trade Area and the International Fund for Agricultural Development as part of efforts to strengthen partnerships and advance Ghana’s development agenda.
