Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa arrives in Ghana for official visit

President John Dramani Mahama warmly welcomed Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa to Ghana on Monday for an official state visit.

The visiting leader was received with full military honours, including a ceremonial guard of honour by the Ghana Armed Forces and a 21-gun salute, underscoring the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations.

A State Banquet will be hosted in President Mnangagwa’s honour, celebrating the longstanding relationship between Ghana and Zimbabwe.

During his stay, the two leaders are set to engage in bilateral talks aimed at enhancing cooperation across several key sectors, including trade, tourism, agriculture, health, sanitation, anti-corruption initiatives, and job creation.

The discussions are expected to conclude with the signing of several agreements designed to deepen collaboration and strengthen diplomatic and economic relations between the two countries.

President Mnangagwa’s visit marks a significant moment in Ghana-Zimbabwe relations, signaling renewed commitment to partnership and mutual development in the West and Southern African regions.
