Foreign Affairs Ministry cautions public against QNET-related recruitment schemes
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has warned the public, particularly the youth, to be wary of recruitment and travel schemes linked to QNET and similar networks.
In a public announcement issued in Accra, the Ministry said it had observed a growing number of cases in which Ghanaian nationals were being lured to travel abroad under false promises of employment, business opportunities, or assistance in securing European visas.
According to the Ministry, many victims of these schemes end up stranded in foreign countries, detained by immigration authorities, or exposed to exploitative and distressing conditions.
It therefore advised members of the public to exercise extreme caution and verify all travel, recruitment and business offers through appropriate and official channels before making any financial commitments or arrangements to travel outside the country.
The Ministry also called on parents, guardians and community leaders to help raise awareness about the dangers associated with such schemes.
It urged the public to report suspicious activities to the Ministry through its official contacts or to the relevant security and immigration authorities.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to working with national institutions to safeguard the welfare of Ghanaian citizens and to combat criminal networks that exploit unsuspecting individuals.
