Adwoa Safo joins Chairman Wontumi’s campaign team for NPP National Chairman bid

Former Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection and former Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Sarah Adwoa Safo, has been named as a member of the campaign team for Bernard Antwi Boasiako’s bid to become National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Chairman Wontumi recently unveiled a 35-member campaign team ahead of the party’s internal contest as part of preparations toward repositioning the NPP for the 2028 general elections.

The campaign team is led by former Sunyani East Member of Parliament and former Majority Chief Whip, Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, who serves as Campaign Chairman, while former New Edubiase MP George Boahen Oduro has been appointed Campaign Manager.

Other notable personalities on the team include Nhyiaeso MP Stephen Amoah, former Trobu MP Moses Anim, former Ablekuma North MP Akua Afriyie, former Central Regional Minister Justina Marigold Assan, and former Deputy Lands Minister George Mireku Duker.

Also included on the team are former government spokesperson Palgrave Boakye-Danquah and communications strategist Ewuradjoa Coleman, who will oversee Media and Communications.

The campaign structure covers areas including field operations, political affairs, electoral affairs, welfare, external relations, women mobilisation and security operations.

 

Chairman Wontumi has stated that his campaign will focus on party unity, grassroots mobilisation and strengthening the NPP ahead of the 2028 elections.
