A new poll by Global InfoAnalytics has placed Johnson Asiedu Nketia in the lead among National Democratic Congress (NDC) delegates as a preferred candidate for the 2028 elections.

The “top-of-mind” survey shows Asiedu Nketia, also known as General Mosquito, with 28.0% of responses. Cassiel Ato Forson follows with 12.1%, while Haruna Iddrisu recorded 7.8%.

Kwabena Opoku Agyemang polled 6.1%, with Julius Debrah at 5.5%. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa received 1.7%, while Joshua Alabi had 0.5%.

Other individuals mentioned in the poll, including Eric Opoku, Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings, Muntaka Mubarak, Ekwow Spio-Garbrah and Kwabena Duffuor, each recorded less than 1%.

The poll captures spontaneous responses from delegates and includes all individuals mentioned. Analysts say while Asiedu Nketia currently leads, the margin indicates that Ato Forson remains a contender as the party looks ahead to 2028.
