Abraham Aidoo light ups Kpone -Katamanso

An aspiring independent Parliamentary Candidate for the 2028 general elections, Mr. Abraham Aiddo, has undertaken a major community intervention by installing 370 street lights across parts of the Kpone Katamanso Constituency to help address rising concerns over insecurity.

The initiative, which targets crime-prone and poorly lit areas, has so far benefited communities including Zeenu, Zion Bridge, and New Appolonia.

According to Mr. Aiddo, the project was in direct response to persistent complaints from residents—particularly women—who face attacks during early morning hours while heading to markets.

“Women in these communities have been vulnerable to robbery at dawn, with attackers taking away their money and valuables,” he explained.

“In areas like Zion, some residents say they had never experienced proper street lighting until now.”

Mr. Aiddo noted that the installation of the street lights is part of his broader commitment to improving safety and quality of life in the constituency.

He emphasized that the intervention is not politically motivated but driven by a genuine desire to serve the people.

“This is to demonstrate that I care deeply about the well-being of the people in Kpone Katamanso,” he said.

“There is still more to be done, and I am calling on individuals, organizations, and stakeholders to support efforts aimed at addressing the many challenges facing our communities.”

Residents in the beneficiary areas have welcomed the development, expressing hope that improved lighting will deter criminal activities and enhance security, especially during early and late hours.

The street lighting project adds to ongoing discussions about community-led solutions to local security challenges, particularly in rapidly growing urban areas within the Greater Accra Region.
