Razak Kojo Opoku urges Agya Koo to return ahead of 2028 elections
A strategic member of Dr. Bryan Acheampong’s campaign for President 2028 team, Dr Razak Kojo Opoku, has called on popular actor Agya Koo, known in private life as Alex Adu to return and support the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2028 general elections.
Mr. Opoku made the remarks in a post of Facebook while reacting to recent political developments that Agya Koo, a staunched member of the party has fpormed a new party to rival National Democratic Congress and the NPP in the 2028 general eletions arguing that the party remains resilient despite past internal challenges.
He referenced the departure of Alan Kyerematen and his supporters, noting that the NPP remained strong even after that split.
According to him, this demonstrates the party’s ability to withstand internal divisions and remain competitive on the national political stage.
He questioned suggestions that Agya Koo and his supporters could pose a significant threat to the NPP in the 2028 elections, urging the actor to reconsider his position.
Mr. Opoku emphasised the need for unity within the party, calling on all members and sympathizers to rally behind the NPP’s efforts as it prepares for future electoral contests.
