DVLA boss honoured with prestigious African Digital Transformation Award
The Chief Executive Officer of Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA), Julius Neequaye Kotey, has been recognised for his groundbreaking work in digital innovation, receiving the award for Digital Transformation in Vehicle Licensing Across Africa at the African Public Service Optimum Awards 2025.
The prestigious award was presented on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in recognition of the Authority’s successful efforts to digitise and streamline vehicle licensing systems, enhancing efficiency and accessibility for millions of Ghanaians.
In a statement following the ceremony, the DVLA CEO expressed gratitude to His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama for his leadership and support, as well as to The Business Executive Group, organisers of the awards, for the continental recognition.
The CEO also extended appreciation to its dedicated staff and the Ghanaian public for their continued trust and partnership in the ongoing digitalisation journey.
This accolade reaffirms Ghana’s position as a leader in public sector digital transformation and highlights the tangible impact of the DVLA’s initiatives on service delivery and governance, he concluded.
