Ghana secured its spot in the global tournament following a 1-1 draw against Uganda in Kampala, progressing on a 3-2 aggregate score.
Although the Black Princesses held a 2-1 lead from the first leg at the Accra Sports Stadium, the return fixture proved challenging as the team had to overcome both a goal deficit and a red card that reduced them to 10 players.

Head Coach Charles Sampson expressed immense pride in the squad's performance, noting that qualifying for the World Cup had been the primary objective since January of last year.
He remarked that while the initial plan was to build a larger lead in the home leg, the team’s resilience in the face of Uganda’s offensive play in Kampala was the deciding factor.
Sampson highlighted the character shown by his players, specifically their ability to maintain composure and secure the necessary result while playing at a numerical disadvantage.
The coach also credited the opponent, describing Uganda as a worthy adversary that successfully disrupted Ghana’s typical midfield play.
He attributed the ultimate success to a persistent spirit within the team, stating that the group has been tested in numerous ways throughout the qualification process.
The Black Princesses will now begin preparations for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup, which is set to take place in Poland from September 5 to September 27, 2026.
