Jackson Tuwei expresses confidence in Ghana’s 4x100m relay team
Jackson Tuwei, the President of Athletics Kenya, believes Ghana’s 4x100m relay team has the potential to win medals at the global level.
His comments followed the team's automatic qualification for the 2027 World Athletics Championships after their performance at the World Athletics Relays in Gaborone, Botswana.
Although the team did not qualify for the final on the first day, they secured their spot on the second day of the competition.

Speaking after a council meeting in Accra on Sunday, Tuwei praised the athletes and the structure of the team.
He stated that "[Ghana 4x100 relay team] has the potential to make the podium at the world level."
He further noted that Ghana possesses one of the best relay teams, citing talented sprinters and strong organisation.
"I'm sure Ghana team will go to the highest level everywhere in the world," he added.
The relay team is expected to compete in the upcoming 2026 Africa Senior Athletics Championships.
