The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and betPawa have renewed their partnership, with the company extending its Locker Room Bonus initiative to the Black Stars and Black Queens ahead of major international competitions.

The agreement was formalised on Friday, May 29, 2026, at a signing ceremony held at the Best Western Premier Hotel in Accra. The event was attended by officials of the GFA, executives of betPawa, and stakeholders in Ghana football.

The renewed partnership comes as the Black Stars prepare for their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, while the Black Queens continue preparations for the upcoming Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Speaking at the event, betPawa's Head of Local Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility, Borah Omary Ndanyungu, said the company remains committed to supporting Ghana football beyond traditional sponsorship.

According to her, the latest support package reflects betPawa's belief in football's ability to inspire and unite people while contributing to the development of the game.

The initiative builds on betPawa's existing involvement in Ghana football through the Ghana Premier League and the Malta Guinness Women's Premier League, where the Locker Room Bonus programme provides direct financial rewards to players after victories.

GFA Vice-President Mark Addo welcomed the renewed partnership, describing the support as timely as both national teams prepare for important international assignments.

He said the extension of the Locker Room Bonus programme to the Black Stars and Black Queens would provide additional motivation for players and support the teams' preparations.

Mr. Addo also commended betPawa for its continued investment in Ghana football, noting that the company's support has contributed to player welfare, professionalism and competitiveness within the domestic game.

He added that partnerships that deliver direct benefits to players and football development remain important to the growth of the sport in the country.

The renewed agreement further strengthens the relationship between the GFA and betPawa, which has become one of the major private-sector supporters of Ghana football.
