DVLA introduces extended service hours at selected offices nationwide
The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) has announced the introduction of extended working hours at selected offices across the country, effective Monday, May 4, 2026, as part of efforts to improve service delivery and public access.
Under the new arrangement, designated DVLA offices will operate up to 10:00 PM daily using a structured two-shift system, allowing more customers to access services at convenient times.
The offices to benefit from the extended hours include branches in Tema, Weija, Takoradi, Cape Coast, Koforidua, Sunyani, Ho, Kumasi, Winneba, Tarkwa, Tamale, Bolgatanga, Wa, Techiman, and Haatso (Narhman office).
The initiative is aligned with the government’s broader 24-hour economy agenda, which seeks to enhance productivity, accessibility, and convenience for citizens.
The DVLA has encouraged the public to take advantage of the extended hours to access services directly at its offices, a move expected to reduce reliance on middlemen and improve efficiency in service delivery.
