Veteran Ghanaian actor and broadcaster Mikki Osei Berko, widely recognised for his iconic roles as Master Richard and Dada Boat, has transitioned into traditional leadership following his installation as a chief in the Eastern Region. 

The enstoolment ceremony occurred on Friday, April 24, 2026, in Adamorobe, located within the Akuapem South Municipality.

Traditional leaders conferred upon him the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II.

He has been appointed to serve as the acting chief of the town, stepping in to support the substantive chief who is currently advanced in age.

Footage of the ceremony circulated widely on social media, capturing the actor participating in various customary rites.

During the event, he was seen dressed in a traditional fugu paired with shorts, a specific attire that triggered significant discussion and curiosity among online observers.

The news has been met with a wave of congratulations from fans and colleagues, who have praised his move to serve his community.

Mikki Osei Berko’s career spans decades in the Ghanaian creative arts and media space.

He rose to national fame in the hit television series Taxi Driver and later Dada Boat.

Beyond the screen, he has held prominent positions at various radio stations, including Radio Gold, Happy FM, and Adom FM.
