Ghanaian singer and songwriter RCee has opened up about the inspiration behind his latest EP, Young Daddy, during an interview on The Corporate Lounge with Irene Serwaa Kwarfo on Class 91.3 FM.

Speaking on the show, RCee described the project as a bold and intentional statement that bridges the gap between old-school music and modern sounds.

According to him, the title Young Daddy reflects a deeper identity.

He explained that “young daddy” represents a young person with the mindset of someone more mature—essentially describing himself as an old soul in a youthful body.

He further broke down the title, noting that “daddy” can also refer to a certain confident and attractive persona, adding another layer of meaning to the EP. For RCee, all these elements come together to define the message and creative direction of the project.

The artist emphasized that the EP is built around three key ideas: boldness, being unusual, and making a statement.

He explained that “unusual” in this context means doing things that others may consider outdated or different—choosing a path that stands out rather than following trends.

When asked which track best captures the essence of the EP, RCee pointed to “Money Makes the World Go Round” as his personal favorite.

He revealed that the song challenged him the most creatively, as it was recorded on a type of beat he had never worked with before.

Despite the challenge, he described the process as exciting and rewarding.
