Ghana Civil Aviation Authority marks 40 years of service to aviation sector
The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has celebrated its 40th anniversary, marking four decades of service, safety oversight, and contribution to the development of Ghana’s aviation industry.
The milestone event, held as part of activities supported by the Ministry of Transport, brought together stakeholders in the aviation sector to reflect on the Authority’s progress and achievements over the years.
The celebration highlighted the GCAA’s role in ensuring aviation safety, regulatory oversight, and the steady growth of air transport services in Ghana, contributing significantly to national development.
The Deputy for Transport, Dorcas Affo-Toffey on her part, commended the Authority for its resilience, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining international standards in aviation safety and operations.
The anniversary also provided an opportunity to reaffirm continued collaboration between the Ministry of Transport and the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority in advancing the country’s aviation sector and strengthening its global competitiveness.
