Parliament to resume sitting on May 21
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, has announced the official start date for the Second Meeting of the Second Session of the Ninth Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
A notice issued from his office in Accra on Monday, May 4, 2026, indicates that Parliament will resume sittings on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Parliament House.
The announcement was made in accordance with Order 58 of Parliament’s Standing Orders.
It serves as formal notice to Members of Parliament and other stakeholders ahead of the resumption of legislative business.
The upcoming meeting is expected to enable lawmakers to continue work on key national issues and other matters before the House.
