TOR CEO yearns to position refinery as a reliable and efficient player in Africa’s downstream petroleum industry
The Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR), Edmund Kombat, has participated in the 2026 Global Event of Endress+Hauser held in Basel, Switzerland.
The high-level gathering brought together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to discuss the future of process automation, digitalisation, and energy systems, with a focus on improving efficiency and resilience across the global refining sector.
Mr. Kombat described the event as an important platform for engaging with emerging technologies and best practices that are critical to advancing refinery operations.
He noted that such international engagements are key to TOR’s ongoing efforts to modernise its infrastructure, strengthen technical partnerships, and enhance its competitiveness within the regional energy market.
Participation in the event also provided an opportunity for the refinery to benchmark its operations against global standards while exploring innovative solutions to improve performance and sustainability.
