Agyinasare ends historic Pakistan mission with strategic visit to Ghana Consulate in Islamabad
Archbishop Dr. Charles Agyinasare, Founder and Prelate of Perez Chapel International and Chancellor of Perez University College, has successfully concluded a landmark missionary tour across Pakistan, culminating in a high-level diplomatic visit to the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Ghana in Islamabad on June 17.
One of Africa’s most influential Christian leaders, Archbishop Agyinasare was accompanied by a nine-member delegation and was warmly received by Vice Consul Hon. Omar Shahid Butt on behalf of His Excellency Dr. Shahid Butt, the Honorary Consul of Ghana to Pakistan. The visit highlighted growing opportunities for cooperation between Ghana and Pakistan amid evolving global security and economic challenges.
During the meeting, both sides discussed strengthening bilateral relations through enhanced collaboration in education, business, and people-to-people engagement. Particular emphasis was placed on fostering stronger linkages between educational institutions and business communities in both countries, while promoting interfaith harmony, mutual respect, and greater understanding among people of different faiths.
A major focus of the discussions was the potential establishment of Perez Academy in Pakistan.
Founded by Archbishop Agyinasare, the institution is dedicated to delivering quality education, character development, values-based learning, leadership training, and youth empowerment. The initiative was explored as a platform for equipping future generations with both academic excellence and ethical leadership skills.
The diplomatic engagement also explored opportunities for broader economic cooperation. Discussions included facilitating trade partnerships by connecting Ghanaian investors with Pakistani business networks across sectors such as agriculture, information technology, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, textiles, mining, and energy. Both parties expressed optimism that increased commercial engagement could contribute meaningfully to economic growth and mutual prosperity in both nations.
The visit marked the culmination of an intensive nationwide ministry outreach that took Archbishop Agyinasare to major cities including Hyderabad, Karachi, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Islamabad. Through his signature Festival of Miracles campaigns and IGNITE Ministers’ Conferences, the Archbishop ministered to thousands of believers while equipping pastors and Christian leaders with practical tools for ministry and leadership.
Among the key events of the tour were the “Pakistan Festival of Miracles” in Hyderabad on June 12, ministerial gatherings in Karachi, the “Ignite Ministers’ Conference” in Gujranwala on June 13, and the “Karachi on Fire for Jesus” Festival of Miracles on June 14, which drew large crowds and widespread participation.
The 2026 mission represents another significant milestone in Archbishop Agyinasare’s long-standing engagement with Pakistan. In 2006, he made history as the first Black spiritual leader to conduct large-scale open-air Gospel campaigns in Pakistan during a period of intense regional volatility, paving the way for future international ministry engagements in the country.
Financed independently by Archbishop Agyinasare and his Ghanaian ministry partners, the 2026 outreach also included a major philanthropic initiative through the distribution of 10,000 copies of his foundational discipleship series, Rooted and Built Up in Him (Volumes 1–4).
Reflecting on the substantial financial investment made in Pakistan and other international missions over the years—amounting to hundreds of thousands of U.S. dollars—the Archbishop emphasized that he regards such expenditures not as sacrifices but as eternal investments in societal transformation and human development.
As a result of these investments, Perez Chapel International currently has 18 chapels in Pakistan.
The mission received widespread appreciation from Christian leaders across Pakistan. Pastor Nasir Paul, host of the historic 2006 campaign, remarked: “Archbishop, you were the first Black person to hold a mass open-air campaign in Pakistan with multiple thousands in attendance. Thank you for showing it is possible and showing the world how open and tolerant Pakistan is.”
Pastor Asher Mansha, Chairman of Christ Holiness Church and Shine Star TV Network, praised the Archbishop’s enduring impact, saying: “Baba Agyinasare, you have become a father to the Church at large in Pakistan. Through your sacrifice and leadership, you are building a lasting legacy that will impact generations.”
Pastor Shakeel Bhatti, National Overseer of Perez Chapel International Pakistan, added: “We highly appreciate your love for the nation of Pakistan. The conference we held in Gujranwala was very insightful and equipped our people to serve our generation better.”
Looking ahead, Archbishop Agyinasare announced a comprehensive six-year strategic commitment to Pakistan spanning 2027–2032. The initiative is designed to create sustainable long-term impact through three major areas of focus.
The first pillar will be Spiritual and Humanitarian Expansion, including the scaling of IGNITE Conferences and Festival of Miracles campaigns into new regions while supporting local church planting efforts.
The second pillar will focus on Institutional Leadership Training through the deployment of the Agyinasare Leadership Institute to equip professionals, church leaders, executives, and emerging youth leaders with transformational leadership and governance skills.
The third pillar will center on Bilateral Trade Delegations, with annual visits by Ghanaian business leaders and investors to engage Pakistani industrialists through structured business-to-business matchmaking sessions aimed at fostering practical economic cooperation.
Following the consulate meeting, Vice Consul Omar Shahid Butt hosted a luncheon for Archbishop Agyinasare and his delegation at the Pearl Continental Hotel Islamabad. As the delegation prepared to depart, the Vice Consul expressed appreciation for the Archbishop’s contributions and conveyed his best wishes for the continued success of his ministry. He also expressed hope for sustained engagement and future collaboration between the Ghana Consulate and Archbishop Agyinasare’s ministry.
The Archbishop’s 2026 Pakistan mission concluded as both a significant spiritual outreach and a meaningful diplomatic bridge, strengthening relationships between Ghana and Pakistan through faith, education, leadership development, commerce, and interfaith cooperation while laying the foundation for deeper engagement in the years ahead.
