Weija-Gbawe MP inspects ongoing projects, assures residents of improved infrastructure

The Member of Parliament for Weija Constituency, Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has undertaken a working visit across the Weija-Gbawe area to inspect ongoing development projects aimed at improving living conditions for residents.

The tour covered key infrastructure projects, including drainage and road construction works currently underway in parts of the constituency.

The MP also assessed the condition of the footbridge at Weija School Junction, which has raised safety concerns due to visible deterioration.

During the inspection, Jerry Ahmed Shaib indicated that urgent measures would be taken to address the rusting structure and ensure the safety of pedestrians who rely on the bridge.

He further visited the AstroTurf project at Weija Methodist School, which is expected to serve as a centre for youth development and community engagement upon completion.

The MP expressed satisfaction with the progress of work on the various projects and noted that he had engaged contractors and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and adherence to high construction standards.

 

He reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising infrastructure development, enhancing public safety, and improving the overall well-being of constituents, adding that efforts to rebuild and develop the Weija-Gbawe area would continue.
