Osagyefo Oseadeeyo Agyeman Badu II, the owner of Aduana FC and Life Patron of the Dormaa Traditional Council, has directed that the remaining balance of Dominic Frimpong’s contract be paid in full to the late player’s family.

In addition to the contract payout, the Dormaahene has instructed that Frimpong’s monthly salary continue to be honored to provide financial support to the bereaved family.

Before his tragic passing, the young forward had signed a permanent contract with Aduana FC but was serving a loan spell at Berekum Chelsea that was set to conclude at the end of the current season.

Frimpong lost his life following an armed robbery attack on the Berekum Chelsea team bus as they returned from a Ghana Premier League match against FC Samartex 1996.

The gesture by the Aduana FC owner has been widely praised as an act of solidarity within a football community still reeling from the violence.

The funeral for the young footballer is scheduled for Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at Assin Dansame in the Central Region.

High-ranking officials from the Ghana Football Association (GFA), teammates, and representatives from the broader sports fraternity are expected to attend to pay their final respects.

Amidst the mourning, the GFA continues to engage security agencies to address the safety of teams traveling across the country for league fixtures.
