Dr Prosper Nartey Ogum names Ghana squad for 2026 U-17 AFCON
Black Starlets head coach Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum has finalized a 21-man squad for the 2026 U-17 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
Following weeks of preparation, the team will compete in Group D against defending champions Senegal, South Africa, and Algeria.
Ghana opens its campaign against Algeria on May 14 in Rabat, just one day after the tournament commences on May 13.
The selected squad features goalkeepers Solomon Kesse, Michael Armah, and John Annan.
The defensive lineup includes Mujahid Osman, Kingsley Fosu, Issah Rafiu, Essau Atsu Kpoeti, Nicholas Essuman, Jacob Etse Kpoeti, and Gabriel Denyinah.
The midfield consists of Isaac Barfo, Augustine Appiah, Michael Awuli, Michael Nyantakyi, Eric Adu Gyamfi, and Mark Kagawa Mensah.
Leading the attack are Mark Aboagye, Abdul Latif Wunzalgu, Joseph Narbi, Gavi Robinho Yao, Clement Agyei, and David Ofori as the Starlets aim for a place in the knockout stage.
