Mohammed Kudus is facing public criticism regarding his professional development after his former agent, Jennifer Mendelewitsch, suggested the midfielder’s career has stalled.

In an interview on EN OFF, Mendelewitsch provided a candid assessment of the Ghana international.

The pair ended their long-term professional relationship shortly before Kudus secured a high-profile move from West Ham United to Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the 2025–2026 season.

The comments come as Kudus faces a challenging period in North London. The 25-year-old has been ruled out for the remainder of the current season following a setback in his recovery from a quad injury.

The injury, which had already kept him out for three months, has limited his debut season at Tottenham to 26 appearances, where he recorded three goals and six assists across all competitions.

Mendelewitsch attributed their split to what she described as the growing and detrimental influence of Kudus' family on his career management. While she noted that integrating family is natural, she argued that it has negatively impacted his decision-making and performance.

“The problem is when it impacts you, and here we see it very clearly,” she remarked.

“He is going to be 26 years old. There are players today who we talk about more than him who are more successful than him. Right now, he is on a slope that is not going up.”

The former agent expressed regret over the current situation, claiming that the steady progress they had previously built together is being undone by the environment currently surrounding the player.

Kudus is now focused on long-term rehabilitation as he looks toward the 2026–2027 campaign.
