Simoen-Okraku: GFA President participates in FIFA Forward programme consultative meeting
President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku, has taken part in a FIFA consultative meeting on the future of the FIFA Forward Programme.
The meeting was held in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, and brought together presidents of member associations from WAFU Zone A and Zone B.
Discussions focused on reviewing the current FIFA Forward 3.0 phase, which ends in 2026, and planning for the next cycle, Forward 4.0, scheduled to run from 2027 to 2030.
Participants examined the structure and priorities of the upcoming programme, which is expected to continue providing financial support to member associations, particularly in areas such as administration, governance and infrastructure.
The meeting also addressed ways to improve the use of FIFA funding to support football development.
The FIFA Forward Programme, introduced under FIFA President Gianni Infantino, supports development projects across member associations worldwide.
