Thomas Partey pleads not guilty to new rape charges in UK Court
Former Arsenal FC midfielder Thomas Partey has pleaded not guilty to two additional charges of rape at a court hearing in London.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian international entered his pleas on Monday at Southwark Crown Court, denying allegations that he raped a woman on two occasions in December 2020.
The new charges follow earlier court proceedings in September 2025, where Partey denied five counts of rape involving two other women, as well as one count of sexual assault against a third complainant.
The alleged offences are said to have occurred between 2021 and 2022 during his time at Arsenal.
Presiding judge, Tony Baumgartner, ruled that all allegations will be tried together, although he indicated that the trial could be delayed until January next year.
In total, Partey now faces seven counts of rape and one count of sexual assault involving four different women.
He has denied all the charges.
The footballer, who currently plays for Villarreal CF, has been granted bail ahead of the trial.
The case is scheduled to return to court for a pre-trial hearing on May 14.
Partey joined Arsenal from Atlético Madrid in 2020 and has earned over 50 caps for Ghana, representing the national team at major tournaments including the FIFA World Cup and the Africa Cup of Nations.
