Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi

Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has announced that candidates who did not pass the medical screening stage of the ongoing Ghana Armed Forces recruitment exercise will be granted another opportunity for reassessment.

In a Facebook message directed at prospective recruits for the 2025/2026 enlistment, he advised affected applicants to return to the medical centres where they were examined to understand the reasons behind their disqualification.

He explained that individuals diagnosed with conditions that can be treated are encouraged to seek appropriate medical attention, as they will be considered for a follow-up screening.

The Minister further noted that the review process will be conducted free of charge, offering a second chance to applicants who are able to address their health challenges.

The move is expected to bring relief to many young people seeking to join the military but were initially unsuccessful due to manageable health issues.

The Defence Ministry has therefore urged all affected candidates to take advantage of the opportunity and prepare for the reassessment once the official date is announced.
